No, we can not claim the record for Largest Chalk Pavement Art.  Our hard work could not be documented in time before the rainfall Sunday, July 14th at 10:30pm erased key evidence.  The community knows we have achieved something monumental nonetheless, bringing together 18 community groups and over 1,000 additional participants and volunteers.  The cooperation was astounding, the support was incredible, and the appetite for cultural events of this sort most encouraging.  WEST HAVEN ROCKS, and the Mayor called Chalkville Tuesday, July 16th to tell us we rock, too!  MANY THANKS to the Awesome Foundation for helping us get started, and to everyone who followed this amazing story of determination and creative momentum.  It certainly won't be the last time we're awesome!  Stay tuned.
